Baby Sister

Thanks for the guest post by Donn Schroeder

My baby sister is about to move all the way across the country and I am about to go crazy. I know I am not her mom, but I practically raised her after our mom passed away when I was sixteen. I couldn’t be more excited for my baby sister. She is going to be starting her first job and moving into her first house. I can’t picture her being so far away. We signed up for Skype and plan on having Skype dates most nights after work. I am trying to make sure that she is safe and remembers to lock her doors when she gets home from work. I have been looking into home SECURITY Systems and trying to decide which one to get for her. It will just make me feel so much better know that she has a security system. It helps me to be able to sleep at night. I know she thinks I am silly but it is just who I am! Being a big sister is hard work!

Congratulations to all the OSCAR WINNERS!

Angelina Jolie Mocked by Descendants Screenwriters

I was laughing when one of the Descendants Screenwriter mocked Angelina Jolina’s pose after they were called on stage and awarded as Best Adapted Screenplay. Angelina Jolie is so pretty in her dress and so sexy, so thin! I love her so much but I can’t help myself but laugh when I watched this part :)

It’s Hard to Buy Unique Gifts for My Boy

As much as I love my son, there are times when I go in over my head trying to figure out what one of a kind gifts for a boy I could get for him. It seems he already has everything, although I know that is not true. However, he’s very quirky and active, so it’s sometimes hard to find a suitable gift that he would enjoy playing with or using. Whenever there’s a special occasion, I end up buying toys that he asks for, rather than buying him something out of the ordinary. I guess I would have to consult the Internet the next time I decide to buy him a unique gift.

Guitarist Wannabe

In one of my other blogs, I mentioned that my husband is thinking of buying a music mixer. That’s because he feels he has the talent to mix music “professionally.” Well, guess what? We were talking last night and he told me that he wants to buy a martin d-15, too. It’s a brand of acoustic guitar that’s made from genuine mahogany wood. I’ve seen its photo online, and I’d have to say that it was beautiful. Aside from that, I’m sure that it would be able to churn off awesome sounds because of the materials used to construct it. My husband is not just a musician wannabe now, but he’s now a guitarist wannabe.

Cheap Scrubs Offer Doctors and Nurses Variety

I remember when I was little; a trip to the hospital was like a trip to my doom. I didn’t want to be anywhere near doctors and nurses. Well, you know how kids are. Just the tip of their white uniforms was enough to send me wailing. However, stern-looking nurses and doctors are outdated, and that’s all thanks to cheap scrubs. Because of these scrubs, doctors now look more approachable. Even a young kid wouldn’t feel too scared when around doctors anymore. The colorful scrubs that you see doctors and nurses donning these days are very different from the starched white uniforms they used to wear that made them look strict. Since these scrubs are affordable and may be bought almost anywhere, nurses and doctors can go for variety.

It’s Time for Some Serious Barbecuing

Summer is slowly creeping in but not before spring makes its presence felt. I can already smell the sweet smell of spring, which means that people are starting to get their barbecue grills out for some serious barbecuing. I’m thinking of asking hubby to buy a griller, so we can enjoy a fun day of barbecues and cold drinks, too, just like our neighbors. I saw this latest model of weber grill, and I just know that we should buy it. It looked durable and based on the product reviews I’ve read, this particular brand is considered one of the best grillers in the world; thus, I just know that we should save up for one.
