Encouraging Teens to Get Interested with Current Events

Since we live in a world where modern technology has become an integral part of one’s daily routine, it is quite hard to fight the habit of being gadget-dependent. The teens of today are way different from our time and more so during the teen age years of our parents. Now the younger generation is hooked to all kinds of gadgets such as laptops, mobile phones, mp3 players and just about anything where media, entertainment and the internet could be easily accessed.

Have you ever asked your teen if they have seen the news today? How many of today’s youth actually spend time watching the news or reading the paper to learn about current events? It is pretty alarming especially as a parent if you child is included in this numbers. There are ways on how you could encourage them to be more interested in knowing what is happening around the world.

Use the internet to your advantage by letting them know about websites that they could visit where current events are available. Media companies and TV networks have also tapped into social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter in order to get the audience interested about news.

Spending quality time with them and discussing these matters at home is also a good way to develop their interest and at the same time cultivate a good relationship with your children.

Third Nipple Found on Woman’s Foot

Oh Gosh this is shocking if this one is actually true! I have read it from Yahoo News and it bothers me a lot…just wanna share…

A 22-year-old woman has sought medical care for a protrusion on her left foot that has now been described as a fully-formed third nipple.

Appearing in a report published in scientific journal Dermatology Online, researchers believe the case may be the first of its kind.

Photographs accompanying the report show the 4cm nipple in the plantar region of the patient’s left foot.

The report also says the nipple is surrounded by areola and hair.

“She had no complaints of pain, pruritus, or alterations in volume or colour,” the report said.

“During her pregnancy or post-partum period, there had been no change in the lesion.

“Family history for similar conditions was negative.

“To our knowledge, this is the first report of supernumerary breast tissue on the foot”.

Up to 5 per cent of people are thought to suffer from the condition although most extra nipples tend to be located above the waist.

Ew gross! How could you able to walk with this thing in your foot!?! If ever this is for real, what are they supposed to do with such? Are they gonna try to remove that? There are lots of experts there I guess that could possibly remove that coz that looks uncomfortable. I guess surgeons can do something about that thing.

Supernumerary nipples, and less commonly supernumerary breasts, are encountered in about 1-5% of the population. But usually, these extra nipples are found along the embryonic milk line, from the axilla to the groin. Supernumerary breast tissue (SBT) has been found on the back, shoulder, face, and thigh, but so far, this is the only observation of supernumerary breast tissue on the foot. Polythelia (nipple only) and pseudomamma are the two most common forms of SBT.
